Corner Pop
Every single player’s shot is slightly different. At the end of the day, balance is what is most important when it comes to being a consistent shooter. Work with your players to find which footwork option makes them the most consistent, and rep it out! Also, never a bad idea to be able to shoot with a variety of footwork options.
Example Workout
Lift & Pop Shooting
Shooter starts in the corner with a passer and a rebounder
Every time the shooter “lifts up”, shooter performs a different footwork option
After the shooter takes a shot on the lift up, shooter jogs down to the ball side block. Once the passer has the ball, shooter performs the corner pop
Shooter repeats another lift up for another shot with different footwork option. After every lift up shot, shooter performs a corner pop
Perform the entire footwork series 5 times on one side of the floor and then switch sides
